President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients.

The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October. read more »

Swine flu may 28 news report in yahoo news today reported that the swine flu is going to get worse in the fall and possibly accelerate to epidemic proportions. More people are still dying from the swine flu. May 28 2009 saw two more people, this time from Israel succumb to the swine flu.

I don’t know how this started and why is came from Mexico but I don’t want any part of it! I finally found that Tamiflu stuff and bought an order. I want to be prepared to fight off this damn flu if I do indeed catch it. We must remember that 20 million people died in the great flu epidemic in 1918 after the great war. read more »
